Library Book Haul #3 | Vacation Edition

Yes I am taking library books on vacation.  It kinda sounds scary. Going far with books that don’t belong to you. I mean what if you forget them!?!?!  If you’re anything like me you’d worry about that.  I’m terribly forgetful especially since I tend to bring like my entire room with me.  I’m always stuck with those what ifs. What if I need this?

Also who has time for reading on vacation?  Me. Literally me.  I’m going away to my Aunt’s place. Its on a private lake and its literally relaxation central. I plan to read HecK-a books.  So when I get back expect a crap ton of book reviews.  I most likely won’t have internet there so for the best I will be drafting all the posts for when I get back.

I will also have some “Reviewing the Classics” book reviews as well seeing as my brother plans to bring the entire set of Harry Potter books with us.

I think I’ve rambled enough! On to the book haul vacation edition!

To make up for my complete lack of book reading this month (seriously I read like 1-2 books tops).

  1. Midnight Jewel – Richelle Mead
  2. Ruined – Amy Tintera
  3. Ever the Hunted – Erin Summerill
  4. Mirror in the Sky – Aditi  Khorana
  5. The Shadow Prince – Bree Despain
  6. Carry On – Rainbow Rowell

I am SO looking forward to all of these.  I will probably be finished at least one and a half by the time I get to my Aunt’s place.  At roughly 3 hours a drive I should be able to get through plenty. I’m super excited!! I’m there for 4 days… I wonder if I didn’t take out enough books lol

As always happy reading! You probably won’t hear from me until I get back. I leave on Friday and I must get to packing.

Do you bring books when you go on vacation?  If you do what are the chances you actually get to finish them?  Are you too busy or do your vacations leave you with plenty of time to kick back with a book?

Library Book Haul #2 | Fantasy

I’m back! Despite my sudden unexplained hiatus I am back with renewed energy to post and work on my blog.  I thought I’d kick off my return with another library book haul because honestly I really enjoyed doing the first one.

I picked a theme today when I was at the library I went with all fantasy genre books because recently my favorite thing to do is pick up a book an escape to another world. One that isn’t set in the real world.

Seeing as I have other responsibilities in life and cannot spend all my days reading (that’s the dream really) I limited myself to picking up 7 books.

  1. The Forbidden Wish – Jessica Khoury
  2. Alice in Zombieland – Gena Showalter (wasn’t actually classified as Fantasy at the library, but I consider it Fantasy)
  3. Rose & Thorn – Sarah Prineas
  4. The Second Guard – J.D. Vaughn
  5. Clariel – Garth Nix
  6. Dorothy Must Die – Danielle Paige
  7. Princess of Thorns – Stacey Jay

Along with these 7 I last minute picked up about 7 manga, which I’ll probably blow through by tomorrow at lunch time.  Anyways, I am so excited to read these! Please look out for more book reviews coming soon.

As usual please visit and support your local libraries!  I’m going to be tracking the tag #librarylove on twitter and instagram.  I would love to see some pictures of libraries from all over the worlds. I will of course be posting some of my own too so make sure to follow me on twitter and instagram.  As always Happy Reading!

Library Book Haul #1

Books are not cheap.   I love going out to bookstores and spending oodles and oodles of money on new books as much as the next bookworm, but as an adult its now your money and not your parents anymore that’s being spent. Thus the seemingly endless flow of money to pay for those books has become the limited resources you call pay.

Libraries are your best friend. Free books. Literally.  You get to read books for free. FREE! Minus the one time library card fee in order to take books out.  Some of my fondest memories growing up are from the library (#librarylove).  And so I am so excited to introduce my new series of library book hauls.

wanderlust

These hauls will happen periodically and each time will showcase my latest pile of books taken out from my local library.  Some of the books mentioned in these hauls will be reviewed and some won’t so keep an eye out for those in the near future too!

Today’s haul is relatively chill compared to my usual hauls.  I brought home 5 books.

  1. The Valiant – Lesley Livingston
  2. The Geek’s Guide to Unrequited Love – Sarvenaz Tash
  3. Nightfall -Peter Kujawinski
  4. Everland – Wendy Spinale
  5. Optimists Die First – Susin Nielsen

Three of these are classified as fantasy (which is one of my top favorite genres) and two are more teenage-y love story type books.  I for some reason started reading two at the same time (#1 and #2 if you’re curious) and definitely plan to at least do book reviews for those two because I’m loving them!

The library is a beautiful, beautiful resource that a lot of people overlook these days (which is really a shame). I hope to bring back some library love with this series.  Visit and support your local libraries!  I’m going to be tracking the tag #librarylove on twitter and instagram.  I would love to see some pictures of libraries from all over the worlds. I will of course be posting some of my own too so make sure to follow me on twitter and instagram.  Happy Reading!
